To reach out to even more practitioners around the world – I have been part of a team of experts delivering online e-evidence training for UNODC. This has been no mean feat -with more than forty participants from Vanuatu to Germany!
Topics ranged from how to meet probable cause in the United States for content, challenges with encryption, the new CLOUD Act Agreement between the United States and United Kingdom, the Norway Supreme Court decision on extended searches (Tidal Wave), emergency disclosure requests and drafting direct requests pre-MLA for e-evidence from service providers.
Personally this has been great, after all my travel, to work from behind my desk in my new iJust office – the iDen – overlooking the amazing autumnal Scottish countryside with Suli the dog by my side and a cup of tea made on the stove!
Thanks to all the participants – I hope we have advanced your e-evidence knowledge and tackled issues to enhance your work!
