It was great to be back in San Francisco to meet Service Providers as part of the UN CTED/ UNODC and International Association of Prosecutors Global e-Evidence Project.
The San Francisco outreach event provided a platform for the project to showcase how we can assist startups to respond to overseas requests for preservation, voluntary disclosure and emergency requests.
We also had a constructive dialogue on how all relevant parties can work proactively to speedily produce e-evidence in CT and serious organised crime prosecutions.
With sessions on the CLOUD Act and the GDPR – the event was also an opportunity to highlight to the Service Providers the changing legal landscape.
I look forward to more outreach and positive engagement with the Service Providers as part of the project’s aim to prevent bad actors exploiting the freedom of the internet.
